SmartFind browser version and mobile app use a case sensitive alphanumeric password that is unique to the system.
SmartFind telephone version (443-356-4040) uses the numeric PIN created during registration. This is a good alternative way to access SmartFind if you have issues logging into the browser version.

SUBSTITUTES PLEASE BE ADVISED: It is your responsibility to ensure schools are open. Please check the HCPS website for information regarding delays and closures. If schools are delayed (one hour or two hours), plan to arrive at your assignment one or two hours (whichever applies) after the original start time of the assignment.

*North Harford Middle School operates on the same schedule as North Harford High School.
**The following elementary schools operate on the 4th tier busing schedule: Bakerfield, Bel Air, Deerfield, Forest Lakes, Havre de Grace, Red Pump, and William S. James.
Default job times for The CEO at Swan Creek are 9:15 AM - 4:35 PM.
Default job times for Swan Creek School are 9:00 AM - 4:20 PM.
School nurse substitute full-day assignment job times start 15 minutes earlier and end 8 hours later.
Substitutes are paid for actual hours worked on predefined early dismissal days as outlined on the HCPS calendar. School calendars are posted on HCPS.org.
It is important to pay attention to calendar early dismissal dates; the SmartFind assignment you accept may reflect a full day.

Questions regarding assignments are best answered by the school where the assignment is located.
Policy Change: - Effective November 1, 2015, substitute teachers MUST: work five (5) days during the school year. This policy change is effective for the 2015-2016 school year and will remain in effect for subsequent school years. Qualifying substitutes will be sent a reasonable assurance letter and will be eligible to return the following school year. Substitutes who do not work the mandatory five SmartFind assignments risk being deactivated in SmartFind.
